LOU is an iconic French lingerie brand founded in 1946 by Lucienne and Andre Faller. The story goes that, One Day on the Orient Express, André Faller, an entrepreneur, met Lucienne.
At the time a gymnast, Lucienne was also passionate about dressmaking and had been making her own lingerie from a very early age. Their first encounter turned into a relationship and in time André and Lucienne wed. In 1946, they created the brand Lou, the name being inspired by the nickname Andre had given his wife.
Since its inception LOU has gone beyond the traditional boundaries of lingerie. Of the founding principals Lucienne said, “I created well-structured bras while placing just as much emphasis on fashion and elegance.”
Over the years LOU has become known and loved for its luxurious laces, rich embroidery and chic feminine details. Timelessly stylish designs produced seasonally along with a strong stable of permanent lines have made LOU a go-to brand for everyday lingerie and special pieces to make any occasion memorable.
LOU has become tantamount with the aesthetics that have made French lingerie an aspirational lifestyle accessory for women across the globe. Their commitment to style, elegance and functionality is unwavering.
LOU’s point of difference to its French counterparts is unmistakable in fabric, fit, diversity and price.
